About the position
The IT Technician role at Systems Support involves providing both remote and on-site technical assistance to customers, primarily in the Greater Boston area and Cape Cod. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technology issues, document resolutions, and monitor system stability. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote support to assist customers using remote tools to troubleshoot and resolve technology issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues on-site at customer locations in the Greater Boston area and Cape Cod.
- Document work performed in time tracking software and technology documentation for accurate billing and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor Alert dashboards for system stability, backup success, and security alerts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Familiarity with RMM tools, command prompt, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to configure a PC and replace hard drives.
- Basic PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience installing hardware in server racks.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Office 365 Administration.
- Knowledge of Firewall Management.
