About the position

Gojob is seeking an IT Technician with 2-3 years of experience to join a global logistics company located in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and modifying firmware and hardware for assigned equipment. The IT Technician will work primarily on the first shift, from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of $25 per hour. Some weekend work may be required, and overtime is compensated for hours worked over 40. Your responsibilities will include installing hardware, software, drivers, and testing equipment to troubleshoot assigned equipment problems effectively. You will also perform preventive maintenance procedures and establish and maintain a maintenance record database. In addition, you will develop and maintain calibration schedules, troubleshoot down equipment, and maintain communication with the IT team. Identifying recurrent failure points in equipment and communicating findings to the IT team will be crucial. You will monitor and track the quality of repaired equipment and report any trends to management for evaluation. Providing feedback to the IT and management teams on the ease of assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs will also be part of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardware, software, drivers, and test equipment to troubleshoot assigned equipment problems effectively.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures and maintain a maintenance record database.
  • Develop and maintain calibration schedules for equipment.
  • Troubleshoot down equipment and maintain liaison with the IT team.
  • Identify recurrent failure points in equipment and communicate findings to the IT team.
  • Monitor and track equipment repair quality and report trends to management.
  • Provide feedback to the IT and management teams on assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two to three years of related experience in IT support.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Technical support and troubleshooting experience with computer hardware and Windows desktop technology.
  • Experience with Xerox printers, scanners, and Zebra handheld RF units.
  • Strong understanding of remote access applications and networks.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications.
  • Ability to learn and understand complex computer hardware and software technology.
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and correctly.
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently while following established policies and procedures.
