About the position

The FSO Technician role at Ehub Global in Chattanooga, TN, is a contract position focused on providing on-site technical support for IT equipment and systems. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining computer workstations, peripherals, and software, ensuring high-quality service delivery to end-users. This position requires flexibility for on-call support during off-hours and the ability to travel to nearby sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-call support during off-office hours for P1/P2 tickets and scheduled activities.
  • Disconnect/reconnect computer workstations, peripherals, and phone equipment.
  • Imaging and reimaging Windows operating systems for desktops and laptops.
  • Safely move equipment using wheeled carts and vehicles.
  • Manage IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Dispose) tasks and asset inventory.
  • Follow ESD safety precautions to prevent equipment damage.
  • Provision operating systems and software onto workstations and laptops based on documentation.
  • Use remote desktop applications for troubleshooting and support.
  • Deliver and set up PC equipment for end-users.
  • Utilize a trouble ticketing system to document work events and verify customer satisfaction.
  • Provision and support wireless devices such as Blackberry, Android, and iPhone.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft OS and applications, including troubleshooting and installation.
  • Support printers in an enterprise environment and manage client-side remote access issues.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 7, Vista, XP, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with imaging utilities such as Ghost and SCCM.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop software and hardware issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Ability to follow documentation and knowledge articles for IT support tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills and disciplined problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Apple OS X.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hard drive encryption software.
  • Experience in supporting printers in an enterprise environment.
