About the position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software components, as well as excellent customer service skills to assist users with their technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems related to Windows Server, Linux, and other operating systems.
• Assist users with VPN connectivity and ensure secure remote access to company resources.
• Maintain and manage IT infrastructure components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Utilize Help Desk software to log, track, and resolve support requests in a timely manner.
• Perform regular maintenance on computer hardware, including upgrades and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to implement SCCM for software deployment and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Document processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT support or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with VPN technologies and network configurations is a plus.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are advantageous but not mandatory.
