About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Technician for an opportunity in Calhan, CO. The IT Technician will apply an intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues, working on problems of moderately complex scope. This role requires acting as an informed team member, providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. The technician will exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate actions, following established guidelines and interpreting policies. The technician will evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations as necessary. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 2-4 years of related experience in a telephone support position in a service or end-user support environment. Additionally, candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in the microcomputer industry and technical training in HP or other manufacturers' product lines. The role demands a working knowledge of the field of Customer Relations, demonstrated verbal communication and customer service skills, and intermediate-level knowledge of operating systems software. Strong experience in Excel and the ability to work directly with clients are also essential. The IT Technician will work with the IMACD team to coordinate and schedule installations, moves, additions, changes, and de-installations of devices. They will also be responsible for submitting all fleet updates into the system and must possess excellent coordination skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-4 years related experience or master's degree and up to two years' experience.
  • 2-4 years related experience in a telephone support position in a service or end-user support environment.
  • 1 year experience in the microcomputer industry.
  • Technical training in HP or other manufacturers' product lines.
  • Working knowledge of the field of Customer Relations.
  • Demonstrated verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of operating systems software.
  • Demonstrated writing/correspondence skills.
  • Experience and demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of legal ramifications/conflicts in Customer Relations environment such as consumer rights and manufacturers' warranty responsibility.
  • Strong experience in Excel.
  • Strong experience working directly with clients.
  • Excellent coordination skills and multi-tasking.
