About the position

The IT Trainer/Content Developer is responsible for conducting IT application training classes and developing/updating training content. This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and a focus on delivering high-quality training experiences to learners while ensuring that all training materials are current and relevant.

Responsibilities

• Employs a variety of instructional techniques to engage learners and deliver competency-based learning.
• Produces high-quality training content quickly with minimal rework.
• Communicates effectively with GDOT learners/customers and the Team Leader regarding work assignments and priorities.
• Supports the team and IT to accomplish common goals and assists in conducting scheduled classes when needed.
• Provides courteous and knowledgeable customer service, ensuring IT needs are routed to appropriate support staff.
• Delivers required business results and meets performance indicators for courses and classes.
• Plans schedules, work assignments, and travel arrangements in advance.
• Maintains knowledge of GDOT IT applications to effectively teach and guide learners.
• Conducts virtual and on-site training sessions, ensuring a positive learning experience.
• Maintains professionalism and order within the classroom to complete course objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT training or content development.
• Experience with visual design and Adobe software.
