About the position

The IT Trainer/Instructional Designer will assist a government agency in training and implementing their system. This role focuses on analyzing system functionality to develop and deliver both classroom and eLearning solutions. The position requires collaboration with various teams to design training materials and facilitate effective learning experiences for employees overseeing agency programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze agency system functionality to develop training materials.
• Design and deliver classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses.
• Collaborate with Training Lead, Business and Agile Teams, and Development Team to understand training requirements.
• Develop and maintain Adobe FrameMaker templates and scripts for training materials.
• Facilitate training sessions for employees in various formats including in-person and virtual.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on developed training materials.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback on learning curriculum and methodology.

Requirements

• 3 Years of Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners.
• 3 Years of Understanding social services programs relevant to county, regional, and state staff.
• 3 Years of Experience in business analysis and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 3 Years of Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) technology such as Moodle, XML, HTML.
• 3 Years of Experience in designing and delivering computer-based training instructional design.
• 3 Years of Experience with software like Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, and Visio.
• 3 Years of Experience developing dynamic instructional training materials with interactions and simulations.
• 3 Years of Experience leading training sessions in various formats.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to assist with basic application software and hardware support.
• Strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology.
• Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form with diverse groups.
• 2 Years of Knowledge of and experience with NC FAST and the Medicaid Program in NC.
