About the position

GDIT is seeking a Training Analyst to design, develop, and facilitate training materials in support of the USCENTCOM J6 Information Technology Services (CITS) Program located in Tampa, FL. The role involves creating engaging and interactive training content that aligns with learning objectives, ensuring that the training delivered is effective and meets the needs of the personnel involved. The Training Analyst will be responsible for delivering training sessions using various instructional techniques, including classroom settings, virtual sessions, and hands-on activities. This position requires a strong focus on understanding user requirements to effectively operate new and evolving IT applications and systems. In addition to developing training materials such as presentations, training manuals, and job aids, the Training Analyst will conduct training needs assessments by collaborating with department heads and utilizing surveys or interviews to identify skill gaps. The effectiveness of training programs will be evaluated through assessments and feedback, allowing for continuous improvement in content and delivery methods. The role also includes coordinating logistics for training sessions, maintaining accurate documentation of training activities, and staying updated with industry trends to incorporate innovative training techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional design skills, excellent presentation and facilitation abilities, and proficiency in various training methodologies and technologies. They will also need to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills to engage participants from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training materials, including presentations, training manuals, and job aids, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Deliver training sessions to USCENTCOM personnel using various instructional techniques, such as classroom, virtual, and hands-on activities.
  • Facilitate user training both live and virtual, capturing user requirements to understand and operate new IT applications and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training programs and make recommendations to enhance content and delivery methods.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and develop lessons that address specific USCENTCOM/CITS needs.
  • Conduct training needs assessments by collaborating with department heads and conducting surveys or interviews to identify skill gaps.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, booking venues, and managing participant registrations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in training and development to incorporate innovative training techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of training activities, attendance, evaluations, and participant feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in computer science, engineering, or a related field of study and at least 8 years of experience.
  • 4+ years of related experience in training and development.
  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
  • Strong instructional design skills with the ability to develop engaging training materials.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to engage diverse participants.
  • Proficiency in using various training methodologies and technologies, such as e-learning platforms and learning management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify training needs and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and employees.
