About the position

The IT Transformation Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various IT projects from initiation to completion. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively communicate and organize project activities while possessing a deep understanding of project management methodologies and IT processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with the overall business goals. In this position, the Project Manager will develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. They will lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering effective collaboration and communication among team members. Assigning tasks based on individual skills and strengths will be crucial to the success of the project. Risk management is a key responsibility, as the Project Manager will identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables. Budget management is also essential, requiring the development and oversight of project budgets to ensure cost-effective resource allocation while monitoring expenses and reporting on budget status to stakeholders. Quality assurance will be enforced through the establishment of quality standards for project deliverables, with regular reviews conducted to ensure compliance with project requirements. The Project Manager will maintain open and transparent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and challenges. Vendor management is another critical aspect of this role, as the Project Manager will coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure seamless project execution while evaluating vendor performance and managing relationships effectively. Change management processes will be facilitated to address any changes in project scope or requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and prepared for changes. Finally, comprehensive project documentation will be maintained, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to understand and discuss IT concepts.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
