About the position

The IT Transition and Installation Project Coordinator at RSN Technologies is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT transitions, installations, and onboarding/offboarding processes. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure successful deployments, optimal configurations, and effective asset management for new and transitioning clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with New Management to schedule walkthroughs and installations.
  • Assign tasks to engineers, schedule site visits, and confirm necessary resources are in place.
  • Set up and track network progress and documentation systems.
  • Verify and upload walkthrough notes and photos into documentation for each location.
  • Review and adjust IT cost spreadsheets received from engineers, ensuring accuracy.
  • Attend transition calls with clients and outgoing IT, and prepare transition documentation.
  • Gather critical system information and obtain vendor points of contact for systems.
  • Confirm the inventory of all equipment, including computers, networking equipment, printers, and devices.
  • Review network configurations for accuracy.
  • Oversee timely configuration and installation, ensuring the setup aligns with customer expectations and offboarding IT specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers and communicate progress through Master Tracker and communication channels.
  • Act as a liaison between RSN, client stakeholders, and outgoing IT for smooth onsite operations.
  • Verify that all site notes, network equipment, configurations, and critical infrastructure information are uploaded to documentation.
  • Confirm that all critical systems are up and running.
  • Create and manage project management tasks, ensuring timely task allocation and engineer assignments.
  • Schedule IT calls with outgoing IT and facilitate approvals for IT cost estimates and equipment orders.
  • Collaborate with Ops to prepare welcome packets, confirm equipment orders, and schedule installations.
  • Ensure Statements of Work (SOWs) are created, approved, and signed off by new management.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with the client one week and 30 days after installation to confirm service satisfaction.
  • Verify any equipment returns and oversee the shipping process for assets.
  • Confirm billing for travel, equipment, and installation fees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in IT project management or IT operations, with at least 2 years in an MSP environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT asset management, network configuration, and client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency with network configuration, ticketing systems, and project management software.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (WAN, LAN, DHCP, VLANs) and equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience in Jira or equivalent project/task management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skillset.
