About the position

The ITAD Production Manager at PlanITROI is responsible for leading and managing a production team that audits, refurbishes, and repairs various IT hardware, including laptops and PCs. This role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement within the production process. The manager will oversee daily operations, manage software and inventory, and collaborate with other teams to meet production targets and service level agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Production Departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations across Audit, Refurbishing & Repairs.
  • Manage and optimize wiping, testing, and imaging software to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and review inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and timely updates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key metrics to internal departments and senior leadership.
  • Provide daily guidance and oversight on the production floor, ensuring compliance with production, audit, QC, and inventory processes.
  • Develop and manage Non-SN & SN Inventory Warehouse functions, addressing errors and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Production teams to address daily operational needs and issues.
  • Create and maintain organized physical storage areas for inventory, ensuring efficient placement and space utilization.
  • Manage team performance and inventory to meet all internal and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Supervise the repair process for failed units from Production/QC, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Oversee third-party testing, wiping, and imaging software to maintain top efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing a full production team in refurbishing computers and consumer electronics.
  • In-depth knowledge of SofThinks, Aiken, or other wiping, testing, and imaging software.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Digital Product Keys.
  • Proven track record in management with proactive leadership in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience supervising, training, and mentoring production and repair technicians.
  • Previous experience with server and network infrastructure is a plus.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and measure results within control limits.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
  • Six Sigma or Lean experience desired.
  • A+ Certification is a plus.
