About the position

The ITAM Governance Manager is responsible for providing governance and oversight to the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Program. This remote role ensures that the program's policies, standards, procedures, controls, and operating metrics are effectively managed and aligned with regulatory requirements and risk management strategies. The manager analyzes complex aspects of the ITAM program, evaluates its effectiveness, and identifies opportunities for improvement while collaborating with various stakeholders and serving as a subject matter expert in ITAM governance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides governance and oversight to aligned ITAM domain's processes.
  • Ensures published policy, standard, procedures, controls and operating metrics are current and aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and helps implement necessary updates to published documents.
  • Establishes practices to perform sample testing of domain controls and partners with domain to resolve improvement opportunities.
  • Sources, compiles, and interprets data for advanced data analysis.
  • Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities, conveying patterns and areas of improvement.
  • Prepares documentation and leads presentations for domains and technology partners.
  • Mentors and educates ITAM team members and technology partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting.
  • 10 years' experience in ITAM with proven knowledge of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and/or Configuration Management modules.
  • Familiarity with FFIEC and ITAM frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Experience with defining, drafting, and implementing ITAM policies, standards, controls, and metrics, including control testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to assess processes from a risk perspective.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, with knowledge of Jira being a plus.
  • Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills.
