About the position

The ITAM Governance Manager is responsible for providing governance and oversight to the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Program at First Citizens Bank. This remote role involves ensuring that the program's policies, standards, procedures, and controls are effectively managed and aligned with regulatory requirements and risk management strategies. The manager will analyze complex aspects of the ITAM program, evaluate its effectiveness, establish testing practices, facilitate reporting, and identify improvement opportunities while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provides governance and oversight to aligned ITAM domain's processes.
  • Ensures published policy, standards, procedures, controls, and operating metrics are current and aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and helps implement necessary updates to published documents.
  • Establishes practices to perform sample testing of domain controls and partners with domains to resolve improvement opportunities.
  • Sources, compiles, and interprets data, performing advanced data analysis and effectively communicating results.
  • Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities, conveying patterns and areas of improvement.
  • Prepares documentation and leads presentations for domains, technology partners, and technology leadership.
  • Leads by example, mentoring and educating ITAM team members and technology partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling, or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling, or Reporting.
  • 10 years' experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) with knowledge of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and/or Configuration Management modules.
  • Familiarity with FFIEC and ITAM frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Experience with defining, drafting, and implementing ITAM policies, standards, controls, and metrics, including control testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify and interpret data trends.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, with familiarity with Jira being a plus.
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Archer is a plus.
  • Financial institution experience is a plus.
