About the position

The ITS Architect and Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and the Head of ITS by providing technical expertise on architecture schemes and decisions for the IT Production Services (ITS) department. This position is responsible for managing and delivering key ITS projects for the bank, ensuring that all infrastructure and application services are designed and implemented effectively across the Americas region. The ITS department is tasked with both Run the Bank (RTB) and Change the Bank (CTB) activities, which encompass the design, production, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, as well as the production of GIT applications and the establishment of technical security systems and backup plans. With a user base of approximately 1200 across 11 sites in the Americas, the ITS department operates from three data centers, two located in New Jersey and one in New York, utilizing a range of technologies including systems, storage, databases, networks, and security services. In this role, the ITS Architect and Project Coordinator will be involved in architecture-related activities, such as designing architecture schemes for ITS projects, reviewing designs from the Head Office, and serving as the single point of contact for ITS topics in the Americas. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key focus, along with responding to audit inquiries from internal and external regulators. The position also entails project management responsibilities, where the individual will act as a Project Manager or PMO for ITS projects, overseeing change management activities, project scoping, planning, monitoring, and risk analysis. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including the ISS department, to ensure that all system implementations comply with US regulatory standards and the bank's policies. Additionally, the ITS Architect and Project Coordinator will assist the CTO with strategic requests and provide expertise in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders involved in projects. This position is integral to ensuring that the bank's IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and aligned with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on architecture schemes and decisions for the ITS department.
  • Manage and deliver key ITS project deliveries for the bank.
  • Design architecture schemes for ITS projects in the US and Americas region.
  • Review architecture designs provided by the Head Office.
  • Act as the single point of contact for Americas regarding ITS topics.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for ITS setup within the Americas.
  • Respond to audit questions from internal and external regulators.
  • Partner and coordinate with the ISS department on ITS solutions.
  • Act as Project Manager/PMO on ITS projects, including change management activities.
  • Define, communicate, and support standards across the local Global IT division.
  • Ensure adherence to the System Project Life Cycle (SPLC) and produce key deliverables defined by the SPLC.
  • Organize working, project, and steering committees.
  • Ensure system implementations meet US regulatory standards and bank policies.
  • Collaborate with NY Internal Auditors during pre-implementation reviews.
  • Assist and provide expertise to the CTO for strategic requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in managing Network/Security or Infrastructure environments.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial institutions.
  • Technical expertise in architecture layouts for network infrastructure.
  • Project management experience on IT infrastructure projects.
