About the position

WSP is seeking an ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Manager to lead projects within the Transit & Rail Team in the Northeastern U.S. This role involves overseeing the design and implementation of ITS projects, ensuring quality and adherence to budget and schedule, while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and direct subject matter experts and third-party partners to design and implement ITS projects.
• Deliver quality projects on schedule and meet budget and financial requirements.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight.
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates, including functional and technical specification documentation.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of related experience delivering ITS solutions for public transit authorities.
• Experience with designing and implementing CAD, AVL, AVA, MDT, APC, Paratransit and Fixed-Route Scheduling Software, and DPI Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
• Ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adhering to health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience with conceptual plans, specifications, and proposal development.
