About the position

The position is for a Senior ITS Systems Engineer at Parsons, focusing on designing and deploying advanced software solutions for transportation systems. The role involves integrating various Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies to enhance mobility and improve user experiences. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to develop ITS designs and specifications, while also engaging in business development activities and providing technical support for the iNET product.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical specialist within the ITS/Smart Mobility Group.
• Create enhanced technical solutions to meet client and/or regulatory requirements.
• Research, analyze, and organize product information and software configuration related to the iNET product.
• Train users on the iNET software and provide on-site support as required.
• Independently work on ITS designs and specifications submittal and collaborate with other ITS design team members.
• Participate in business development activities, supporting technical aspects of opportunities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Keep abreast of technological developments related to area of expertise.
• Participate in professional organizations related to ITS.
• Write and/or review articles for publication in professional journals.
• Provide technical direction to others in the production of products or services to meet established project requirements.
• Plan, track, and schedule deliverables using agile processes.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree is required.
• 3+ years of ITS Design and/or System Integration experience is required.
• Familiarity with New Jersey Dept of Transportation and Port Authority design guidelines is preferred.
