As a Programmer Advisor at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity, particularly within the realm of enterprise IT. Your primary responsibility will be to build and enhance the IT Service Management (ITSM) system, specifically utilizing JIRA Service Management, Dynatrace, Sailpoint, and other cloud tools in a secure environment. This position is pivotal in supporting the Department of Defense's mission to ensure national security, and you will be working closely with the Space Force customer to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for coding applications and models using various programming languages, leading a team of programmers in the delivery of the ITSM system, and collaborating with the engineering team to design necessary integrations. You will also be tasked with building, configuring, and maintaining the ITSM system for the Space Force's digital environment, ensuring that it operates smoothly and efficiently. Your programming skills will be essential in integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products like JIRA, Confluence, Sailpoint, and Dynatrace to automate and manage ITSM processes effectively. Additionally, you will be involved in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining operating systems and software, performing troubleshooting, debugging system software issues, and providing customer support.
