About the position

The Flight Test Engineer will serve as a key member of an Integrated Test Team (ITT) at Nellis AFB, NV, responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of flight tests. This role involves developing flight test plans, creating testable scenarios, and collaborating with project officers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Flight Test Engineer for an Integrated Test Team (ITT).
• Plan, execute, and report on Integrated Test activities.
• Develop technically sound flight test plans and reports.
• Create testable scenarios, profiles, and procedures to produce flight test cards.
• Collaborate with project officers in test plan development and flight test planning.
• Facilitate data requests and collection.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
• Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area is required within established timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with military and commercial aircraft operations.
• Knowledge of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements.
