About the position

As a Vice President, Data Visualization Manager in the Performance and Insights department at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives within a rapidly evolving industry. This position focuses on leveraging advanced big data technologies to tackle enterprise-wide challenges, enhancing data-driven decision-making across various departments. Your contributions will foster a culture of data excellence, ensuring that senior leaders have access to efficient reporting and the right data at the right time to manage business activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, and test data systems that integrate data from various sources for use by data scientists, analysts, and other users.
  • Evaluate structured and unstructured data sets using statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics to derive business insights.
  • Eliminate redundant and labor-intensive processes through automation.
  • Lead data science and advanced analytics projects, implementing best practices, methods, and tools.
  • Collaborate with other Analytics team leads and technology partners to implement centralized technology changes and apply strong controls.
  • Guide the team through analytical environment changes, adapting to new applications, systems, and data center migrations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, data modelers, application developers, and business users.
  • Drive automation of current reporting processes using tools such as SharePoint, MS Access, Excel VBA, Business Objects, Qlikview, Tableau, and Alteryx.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data visualization and management.
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies and analytics tools.
  • Experience in scripting and programming languages for data integration.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze structured and unstructured data sets.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAS migration and data center migrations.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and reporting processes.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for data.
