About the position

The Team Leader at Jack in the Box is responsible for supervising and training team members to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role involves maintaining food quality, compliance with company standards, and fostering a positive work environment. The Team Leader acts as a first-line operational supervisor, ensuring that all team members are well-trained and adhere to the company's procedures and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Train and lead team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company standards.
  • Model and coach team members on maintaining cleanliness and organization in the restaurant.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure positive resolutions.
  • Supervise and train team members on workstation operations and food safety procedures.
  • Maintain visibility and interaction with guests to enhance service quality.
  • Conduct onboarding and training for new employees.

Requirements

  • 6 months of consecutive Jack in the Box experience or 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Completion of Team Leader training classes.
  • ServSafe certification may be required in certain states.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
