About the position
The Team Member at Jack in the Box is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, high-quality food, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment. This role involves performing various workstations in accordance with company standards and guest expectations, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and valued while adhering to food safety and quality protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service by acknowledging and welcoming guests promptly.
- Take and clarify orders, assist guests with menu selections, and enter orders into the POS system.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards before serving to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant interior and exterior, including dining areas and restrooms.
- Assemble and package food orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring order accuracy and completeness.
- Follow food safety policies and procedures, including proper hand washing and glove use.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and strive to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Guest service or food preparation experience is helpful.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of another language may be required based on location.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) are necessary.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for 90%-95% of the shift and lift/carry 15-25 lbs.
