About the position

The Jacksonville Sales Representative position with the Florida Department of Lottery is a territory sales role focused on the sale and marketing of Lottery products. The representative will service Lottery retailer accounts within assigned cities, aiming to meet and exceed sales goals while providing training and support to retailers. This role requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, with daily travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Sell and market Lottery products within assigned territory.
• Service and maintain Lottery retailer accounts.
• Meet and exceed territory sales goals.
• Recruit and train new retailers on effective sales techniques.
• Provide point-of-sale materials and maintain Lottery displays.
• Communicate current information about Lottery products to retailers.
• Analyze retailer sales and recommend improvements.
• Educate retailers on Lottery policies and programs.
• Represent the agency at events and presentations.
• Participate in sales events and promotions.
• Document all call activity and maintain daily paperwork.
• Operate and maintain state vehicles as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to travel and operate a motor vehicle for work purposes.
• Successful passing of a criminal background check.
