About the position

Shibumi is seeking a part-time Brand Ambassador to enhance brand awareness in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves hosting daily shade setups on the beach and supporting the Community Manager in executing events during the spring and summer months of 2025. The ideal candidate is a beach enthusiast who is personable, reliable, and has a strong work ethic, available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Shibumi's products.
• Act as the 'face of the brand' within the local beach market, helping seed product.
• Support the Community Manager with brand activations, from setup to management to takedown and reporting.
• Visit the beach on available weekends to host daily shade setups, providing Shibumi Shades for beachgoers to use for free and managing the shades.
• Boost Shibumi's brand awareness through word-of-mouth marketing strategies.
• Collect and report Shibumi shade setup feedback and trends through the daily shade setup survey.
• Report to the Community Manager or Shibumi corporate on a daily/weekly basis for planning and results of daily shade setups.

Requirements

• Must live in Jacksonville, FL near a major beach (no more than 15 miles away).
• Must be able to reliably drive to the beach and transport any supporting promo items.
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays during spring and summer months.
• A demonstrated love for the beach and a passion to improve the beach experience.
• An outgoing, energetic, confident personality.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a scrappy mindset.
• Related experience as a brand ambassador or a current/prior position in the marketing, beach, or hospitality industry.
• A high school degree is required; a college degree or direct experience in marketing and events is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales or marketing.
• Prior experience in hospitality or event management.
