About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at 24/7 Cleaning Service LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all spaces are tidy and presentable.
• Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Carry out floor care duties including buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly.
• Perform porter duties as required, including moving furniture or equipment as necessary for events or cleaning purposes.
• Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste disposal.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Strong understanding of industrial and commercial cleaning practices.
• Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment consistently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
