About the position
Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking to hire a Janitor to join our team in the Leesville, LA region. The Janitor will be responsible for keeping the facility in a clean and orderly condition by performing various cleaning duties. This position is non-exempt and requires physical work and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Sweeps, mops, hallways, restrooms, lunch areas and other areas inside and outside.
- Regularly sanitize common areas throughout the plant.
- Empties trash and garbage containers.
- Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Cleans debris from sidewalk and patio area.
- Keeps up with cleaning supplies needed and reports for ordering when needed.
- Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
- Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
