About The Position
The Janitor position at Vestis Services involves performing essential cleaning and maintenance tasks within an industrial laundry facility. The role is integral to ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. As part of a team, the janitor is responsible for the accurate handling of merchandise entering and exiting the facility, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the laundry services provided. The job requires a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the Market Center, which may include working weekends and overtime as necessary. Key responsibilities include emptying trash cans in designated areas, cleaning tunnel screens, and breaking down boxes. The janitor will also be tasked with sweeping, mopping, and wiping down various surfaces, including fans, walls, lights, and equipment. Changing floor mats and maintaining cleanliness in the break area and lunchroom are also part of the job. The janitor must ensure that the work environment remains safe and clean, adhering to best practices in all production activities. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting, demonstrating good communication skills and a commitment to attendance and punctuality.
