About the position
The Janitor position at Aria Community Health Center involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned clinic areas. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the sanitation of assigned clinic(s).
- Cleans all assigned areas including exam rooms, hallways, restrooms, common areas, nursing stations, handrails, waiting rooms, utility rooms, and offices.
- Wipes all railings in assigned area daily and dusts mops all assigned areas, moving furniture away from walls.
- Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Follows established safety precautions when using cleaning chemicals and uses as directed.
- Adheres to ACHC, OSHA, State and Federal safety standard precautions, including infectious control, PPEs, and isolation rooms.
- Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums as needed.
- Completes assigned tasks in an efficient manner.
- Assures proper quantities of paper towels, toilet tissue, toilet seat covers, bottled water, trash can liners, and other supplies as assigned.
- Performs light maintenance duties, routines, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
