About the position
The Janitor position at Blaire House of Milford involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within a skilled nursing center. The role is essential for ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents and staff, contributing to the overall quality of care provided to seniors.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, dust, and wash all fixtures, furniture, windows, and interior structures of the building daily.
- Dust, clean, and polish all furniture in public areas, day rooms, offices, and other common areas daily.
- Clean walls, windows, doors, chairs, and closets on a rotating basis, as well as vacuum and perform other floor treatments as necessary.
- Clean all surface areas of utility rooms, linen rooms, attendant stations, public bathrooms, and common dining rooms, including tables after meals and kitchens.
- Empty trash in common areas daily.
- Replace soap and paper products in resident and public areas daily and clean public areas daily.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No experience necessary, but desirable; on-the-job training will be provided.
