About the position

The Janitorial Lead at CW Resources, Inc. is responsible for supervising a custodial crew primarily composed of individuals with disabilities. This role involves performing custodial duties, providing guidance to staff, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of facilities. The position emphasizes creating an inclusive work environment while delivering exceptional custodial services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision of the custodial crew composed of individuals with disabilities.
• Act as a leader among the custodial staff and provide guidance when needed.
• Responsible for the collection of recycle bins and their distribution to the recycling center.
• Coordinate work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and care of buildings and offices.
• Assist with ordering inventory for the facility.
• Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate assigned custodial staff.
• Open and close locks and unlock facilities as needed.
• Keep records of work completed and report damages or vandalism.
• Clean offices, meeting chambers, and recreational facilities, including mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Wash and disinfect washroom floors and fixtures, replenish supplies, and empty waste baskets.
• Clean entrance and exit areas, including glass and doors, and maintain cleanliness outside the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years custodial or janitorial experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Driver's License required.
• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong proficiency in operating custodial equipment.
• Ability to work directly with disabled individuals.
• Experience in maintaining security clearance.
