Janitorial Maintenance Worker

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
• Execute floor care activities including buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with residential painting and minor repairs as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any issues or hazards promptly to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of custodial practices in both commercial and industrial cleaning environments.
• Ability to handle hand tools.
• Experience with facilities Janitorial and Maintenance tasks is a plus, enhancing the overall upkeep of the premises.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and facility occupants.
