About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain floors through buffing and floor care techniques to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Conduct commercial cleaning in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Engage in facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the overall appearance of the property.
• Carry out industrial cleaning procedures when necessary to maintain safety standards.
• Provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as needed.
• Occasionally assist with residential painting projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and techniques is a plus.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be beneficial.
• A strong understanding of cleanliness standards and safety protocols is essential.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards in all cleaning tasks.
