About the position
Amani Inc. is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Janitor for the Armed Forces Recruiting Stations in Colorado. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas including offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and public areas. This position requires a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in a professional setting. The role involves working three days a week, with cleaning scheduled after 8 am and before 5 pm. Each cleaning session is expected to last approximately 2.5 hours. The locations requiring services include the Armed Forces Recruiting Stations, specifically at 20 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501. The Janitor will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition. This includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors, gathering and emptying trash, servicing and cleaning restrooms, and polishing furniture and fixtures. The Janitor will also be tasked with cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, as well as dusting furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Additionally, the role requires mixing cleaning solutions according to specifications and using power equipment safely to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Clean office floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Clean walk-off mats.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Requirements
- Janitorial experience of at least 2 years (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
- Mid-level custodial experience.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively.
