About The Position
This is a temp to hire position located in Phoenix, AZ, specifically at the intersection of 35th & Buckeye. The job schedule is set for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6am to 12pm, with a pay rate of $16 per hour. The role involves general labor duties, including sweeping, shoveling, and cleaning various areas and equipment throughout the yard. Responsibilities also include preparing autos for processing, fluid removal, and maintaining safety standards. The position requires operating a conveyor machine and sorting metals and other items on the conveyor belt efficiently and safely. Daily inspections of equipment are necessary, and any defects or needed repairs must be reported to a supervisor. Employees are expected to cross-train in other positions and assist colleagues as needed. The job demands physical stamina, as employees must be able to stand for long periods (10 to 12 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs. Working outdoors in an industrial environment in all weather conditions is required, along with the willingness to work overtime as needed. The ability to adapt to frequent changes in priority and complete tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision is essential. Dependability and consistency in meeting attendance schedules are also crucial.
