About the position

The Zone Manager at Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is responsible for managing customer and vendor relationships within a designated area, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role involves regular site visits, audits, and maintaining service standards while fostering a safe and inclusive workplace culture. The position requires strong management skills, particularly in the janitorial or building maintenance/service industry, and the ability to handle various operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer and vendor relationships for assigned accounts within the zone.
• Perform monthly/quarterly visits with customer district and regional management to ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct audits and submit reports for accounts as prescribed in the portfolio.
• Ensure buildings are properly supplied and equipped, responding to service calls within 2 hours.
• Create and maintain delivery plans, source and schedule vendors.
• Submit project dates to the head office by required deadlines.
• Provide backup crew work in emergency situations.

Requirements

• 3 years of management experience in the janitorial or building maintenance/service industry, or exterior services, or restaurant industry preferred.
• Ongoing knowledge of compliance standards (OSHA, State/Federal, and KBS).
• Experience in maintaining staffing levels in support of defined budgets and customer relations.
• Ability to analyze area profit and loss (P&L) statements to ensure expenses are within budget.
• Understanding of project management and related project planning, with effective communication of changes and progress.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients to ensure service levels are met.
• Manage staff employment cycle: hire, train, manage performance, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
