About the position

The Business Development Rep/Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners, promoting the company's products and services, and achieving individual business development goals primarily in the Texas and South-West region of the US. This role involves managing the entire business development process, including customer contracts and tasks necessary to gain customer liability, while working both in the Dallas office and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual individual business development plan/goal and get approval by Director of Business Development.
  • Develop and obtain new business opportunities with Japanese and American key customers in the region to achieve business development goals.
  • Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships to ensure successful project execution.
  • Upsell and cross-sell company solutions to existing customers to expand business.
  • Manage pre-sales process including pricing, proposals, and coordination to achieve customer satisfaction and maintain gross profit standards.
  • Conduct lead generation, qualify opportunities, schedule appointments, create presentations, and develop solutions and proposals.
  • Enhance demonstration skills and provide potential clients with demonstrations of Dynamics ERP and IT infrastructure.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates of individual business development activities to the Director of Business Development and update CRM system accordingly.
  • Assist team in business development activities such as meeting attendance, note-taking, and documentation for clients.
  • Develop marketing plans in the region and take actions for marketing initiatives.
  • Develop innovative value propositions to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with delivery and sales teams to achieve company goals and service delivery.
  • Contribute to service improvement, revenue/profitability, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in business, economics, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of outside business development or sales experience.
  • Native level Japanese language proficiency (reading/written and verbal).
  • Good command of English language (reading/written and verbal).
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong business development pipeline.
  • Effective communication skills with current and potential customers.
  • Ability to understand and document customer needs and requirements.
  • Ability to present company values, services, and products to prospects.
  • Ability to design excellent solution proposals and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Consultative and solution selling skills, effective communication with C-level personnel.
  • Teamwork and high accountability.
  • Effective presentation and demonstration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of IT and/or ERP systems.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with pre-sales process and methodology.
  • Certification in pre-sales field in IT and ERP industry.
