About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee all company operations and sales activities, ensuring efficient business performance and sustainable growth. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including overseas manufacturing executives and the Japan headquarters, to maximize product quality and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate must be fully bilingual in Japanese and English and possess a strong background in operations management and sales leadership within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to set and execute organizational vision, operational strategy, and growth objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations, supervising managers in Sales, Supply Chain, HR, and Accounting departments.
  • Coordinate with overseas offices to maintain effective and streamlined global operations.
  • Provide weekly reports to the CEO on sales performance, financial metrics, and budget results.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workflow, reduce costs, enhance satisfaction, and ensure compliance with group policies.
  • Manage the operational budget and analyze financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to identify improvement areas and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Develop strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace that encourages employee engagement and professional development.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English with strong business-level reading and writing skills.
  • Proven experience as a Branch Manager or COO in the automotive industry.
  • Strong Sales Management experience is required.
  • Experience overseeing Human Resources and Accounting departments is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
  • Solid knowledge of finance, budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
