About the position

The Team Member at Jason's Deli plays a crucial role in both the front and back of house operations, ensuring excellent customer service and food preparation. This position requires effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to memorize menu items. Team Members are expected to perform various tasks, from taking orders and preparing food to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Memorize menu abbreviations and prices.
• Communicate effectively in English with customers and team members.
• Perform basic math calculations for handling money and credit card transactions.
• Prepare food items including vegetables, fruits, and salads.
• Set up and maintain the salad bar and other food stations.
• Serve as a sandwich maker and food runner during shifts.
• Assist in dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Balance cash registers and handle credit card charge slips.

Requirements

• Preferred to be enrolled in high school or have a G.E.D.
• At least six months of work experience preferred unless currently attending school.
• Ability to learn basic job routines quickly.
• Effective communication skills.
