About the position

Indotronix is seeking a Java /Actimize Developer to join our team in the Pittsburgh (PA), Strongsville (OH), and Farmers Branch (TX) locations. This position is primarily a contract-to-hire role, offering a hybrid work model where employees are expected to work in the office two days a week and can work remotely for the remaining three days. For highly qualified candidates, full remote work may be considered. The role requires candidates to work core hours from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, and they must be available for on-call duties and overtime as needed. Additionally, candidates will be required to attend in-person meetings quarterly, with a minimum of two in-person meetings each year. The Java /Actimize Developer will be responsible for supporting Cyber Security Fraud initiatives across the organization. This role demands a proactive approach to learning new technologies, with an expectation to learn 2-3 new technologies each year. The candidate will work collaboratively with various channels across the bank, engaging in both consulting and development tasks. The work environment is fast-paced and high-stress, requiring adaptability and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The developer will be involved in vendor package code, business application code, and custom development, all within an Agile framework. Candidates should possess a strong technical background, particularly in Linux (with experience in at least seven versions), Java backend development using Spring Boot, Actimize, and SQL. Experience in fraud or enterprise banking is a plus. Soft skills such as adaptability, strong communication, and a proactive learning attitude are essential for success in this role. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, contributing to a dynamic team environment that emphasizes continuous learning and technological advancement.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical skills in Linux (at least 7 versions) with some scripting experience.
  • Experience with Actimize in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in Java backend development using Spring Boot.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fraud or enterprise banking.
