About the position

The Java Angular Developer position is a permanent role based in Tampa, Florida, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week onsite. The role focuses on the design and development of enterprise-grade software using Java J2EE technologies, with a strong emphasis on both backend and frontend development, particularly with Angular. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop business modules independently using J2EE and related frameworks.
• Implement enterprise applications with a strong understanding of standard development practices.
• Engage in server-side coding and design principles, ensuring effective communication with UI frameworks and databases.
• Interact directly with business users to demonstrate and improve the platform in an agile manner.
• Work as part of distributed teams, managing time effectively and communicating technical specifications clearly.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in design and development of enterprise-grade software using Java J2EE technologies.
• Strong experience in Core Java and front-end technologies like Angular or React.
• Knowledge of OOP concepts, Servlets, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services, and Oracle database.
• Good understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience with any database.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, IBM MQ, or Kafka is a definite plus.
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven and Ant, and SDLC tools such as Sonar and Jenkins.

Nice-to-haves

• Industry-standard Java certification is a definite plus.
