The Java API Developer position is a contract-to-hire role focused on the Genesys Outbound Implementation project. The primary responsibility of the developer will be to migrate from a legacy outbound dialer to the new Genesys Cloud CX product. This involves developing Java REST controllers and Java services that will integrate with the new cloud dialer using Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will have strong Java experience, particularly in deploying services to OpenShift containers using a Jenkins pipeline. The role requires a deep understanding of event-driven programming and the ability to develop web services effectively. In this position, the developer will be expected to design and develop solutions, perform unit and integration testing, and implement these solutions within OpenShift container environments. The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting and triaging issues that arise during the integration process. Daily responsibilities include attending standup meetings to provide status updates and collaborating with team members to ensure successful integration of data from external systems into Genesys PureCloud CX. The role demands a proactive approach, as the candidate is expected to hit the ground running and contribute to the project from day one.
