About the position

The Java API Developer position is a contract-to-hire role focused on the Genesys Outbound Implementation project. The developer will be responsible for migrating from a legacy outbound dialer to the Genesys Cloud CX product, specifically developing Java REST controllers and services to integrate with the new cloud dialer using Spring Boot. The role requires strong Java experience and familiarity with deploying services in OpenShift containers using a Jenkins pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java REST controllers and services for the Genesys Cloud CX integration.
• Perform unit testing and integration testing of the developed solutions.
• Implement solutions in OpenShift container environments using a DevOps pipeline.
• Triage and troubleshoot issues reported on the integrations developed.
• Attend daily standup meetings and provide status updates on project progress.
• Work with Genesys Cloud CX API Endpoints to integrate data from external systems into Genesys Pure Cloud CX.

Requirements

• Strong development experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JavaScript and Event Driven programming.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing Web Services.
• Proficient in developing RESTful web services, JSON, and XML applications.
• Experience with Jenkins and working with pipelines for DevOps.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Genesys Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with OpenShift container environments.
