About the position

The Java Application Developer role at State Street is a hands-on software development position focused on writing code primarily in JAVA and Oracle to support end users in a global enterprise application. Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code primarily in JAVA and Oracle.
• Ensure proper configuration of code in all development lifecycle environments (Development/SQA/Production).
• Manage change management tasks and audit requirements for smooth code deployments.
• Design, develop, and test code in applicable development and test environments, completing necessary SDLC/Agile/DPF audit documentation.
• Provide L4 production support to resolve production issues escalated by the production support team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience with Java J2EE, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, WebSphere, Linux, and MQ.
• Experience with development for JAVA / J2EE based application components including frameworks, JavaBeans, HTML, and JSP.
• Proficiency in SQL PL/SQL and SQL Script programming.
• Ability to build Linux shell scripts and develop Stored Procedures, Packages, and Functions in Oracle.
• Expertise with code repositories and code management (Git, SVN, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly responsible.

• Agile experience and familiarity with GitHub.
