About the position

The position at Radiant Digital involves leading software development efforts for both commercial and government clients. The role requires extensive experience in building scalable software systems and infrastructure, with a focus on transforming monolithic systems into microservice-oriented architectures. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, mission-critical software solutions and will work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes problem-solving and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development projects for commercial and government clients.
• Design, develop, debug, and support scalable software systems.
• Transform monolithic software systems into microservice-oriented architectures.
• Build and deliver mission-critical, 24x7 production quality software systems.
• Work with programming languages such as Java, Python, and Go.
• Utilize software debugging tools like jdb and jmx.
• Apply data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented concepts to solve complex problems.
• Work with ODL, REST, RESTCONF, and RPC services.
• Develop automation scripts in Linux environments using tools like Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Manage Linux networking and virtualization technologies, including KVM and containers.
• Collaborate on open source tools development and implementation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with programming languages: Java, Python, Go.
• In-depth understanding of scale-out infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with web services technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to enhance existing applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with container scheduling and management platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Linux automation scripting.
