The Java Application Support position is a critical role focused on providing operational support for various internal applications, ensuring their stability and soundness. The individual in this role will be responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring both infrastructure and applications, particularly those that are critical to the organization. The applications include Transaction Monitoring, Analytical AML and Risk Models, Meet Transaction Reporting, Currency Transaction Reporting, and FIN Track Reporting. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 1-2 times per week in locations such as Dallas, Columbus, Cincinnati, Birmingham, or Pittsburgh, and is intended to last approximately six months. On a day-to-day basis, the Java Application Support professional will monitor ETL jobs, track user issues, and collaborate with users to identify and resolve software-related problems. They will also support business continuity management and prepare for disaster recovery events, ensuring that the organization is ready for real-world scenarios. The role requires the ability to perform code upgrades independently and to master multiple subject matter areas. Continuous process improvement is a key expectation, along with maintaining and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position demands a proactive approach to identifying and documenting best practices within their areas of expertise, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the application support team.
