About the position

Elite Technical is seeking three Backend Java/AWS Cloud Developers, including two Lead positions and one Senior position, to assist a client in migrating from legacy IBM MQ technologies to a modern Java-based technology environment. The role involves complex analysis, design, development, automated testing, and debugging of software, with a focus on integrating operating system architecture and software design. The developers will work closely with end-users and project stakeholders to define system requirements and objectives, manage modifications to operational programs, and lead meetings to establish software requirements. Additionally, the selected candidates will mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis, design, development, automated unit and integration testing, and debugging of software.
• Design, code, test, develop, and document application programs for computer systems.
• Work with end-users and project stakeholders to define system scope and objectives.
• Manage modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
• Lead stakeholder and product owner meetings to define software requirements and create complex systems.
• Act as a mentor to junior engineers.

Requirements

• For Lead positions: 12+ years of software design and hands-on development experience, 2 years of team lead experience, and 3 years of AWS experience.
• For Senior position: 10+ years of software design and hands-on development experience, along with 2 years of AWS experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Integration, Micro-Services, Web Services, and IBM MQ.
• Hands-on AWS development experience, including EventBridge, Lambda, EKS services, ETS, and basic knowledge of AWS event-driven architecture and design.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or Cloudwatch.
