About the position

The Java AWS Developer role involves developing and maintaining microservices using Java and AWS technologies. The position requires strong expertise in Java, Spring, and AWS services, with a focus on building RESTful APIs and working in an Agile environment. The developer will collaborate with client teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Java and AWS technologies.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with various AWS services.
• Participate in Agile development processes and work in short sprints.
• Collaborate with client teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality through TDD practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java development with strong knowledge of Java 7 or 8.
• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, API Gateway, Lambdas, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code and deployment.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and Linux environments.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Developer or AWS Architect Certifications.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as Angular.js and React.js.
• Knowledge of async programming and experience with JavaScript build tools like Grunt and Bower.
