About the position

The Java AWS Developer role involves developing and maintaining microservices using Java and AWS technologies. The position requires strong expertise in Java, Spring, and various AWS services, with a focus on building RESTful APIs and ensuring high-quality code through testing methodologies. The developer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Java and AWS technologies.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with various AWS services.
• Implement testing methodologies including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Adapt to fast-paced development projects and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java development with strong knowledge of Java 7 or 8.
• Experience in developing microservices and REST services using Jersey API and Dropwizard framework.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Aurora Postgres DB, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with Terraform, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, and Docker.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in SCRUM teams.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Developer or AWS Architect Certifications.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as Angular.js and React.js.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and MapReduce.
