About the position

The Lead Java Developer position at Fifth Third Bank is a contract role focused on backend services development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical efforts within an Agile team, designing and developing software solutions for analytical platforms. This role requires a strong background in Java and AWS, along with experience in technical leadership and collaboration with various teams to deliver high-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software within an Agile team environment.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Prepare design specifications, process flows, data models, and prototypes.
• Create and maintain system documentation and provide product demonstrations.
• Support the entire software development lifecycle, including updates and bug fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of Technical Lead experience.
• Minimum of 5-8 years in Agile software development within a DevOps environment.
• Proficient in Java and SpringBoot programming languages.
• Strong SQL skills, including advanced query writing and data mining from relational databases.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and big data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Cloudera, Hive, Spark, and ElasticSearch.
