We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Java / Azure Cloud Engineer to lead and shape the technical direction of our organization. This is a critical role that blends high-level technology strategy with hands-on technical execution and mentorship. As a Java / Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall technical vision, establishing architectural principles, leading strategic initiatives, and working with other engineers. You will play a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives, while also contributing to the advancement of technology across our client.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the ecommerce platform.
- Monitor platform usage and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Azure Databricks platform.
- Ensure that the environment adheres to security best practices and complies with relevant regulations.
- Work closely with architects, analysts, and engineers to provide technical guidance.
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure features and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of strong programming skills in a modern language like Java, J2EE, Springboot, Microservices.
- Ability to build end-to-end full stack Java applications with React/Angular/Jquery.
- Extensive experience in software architecture and development.
- Deep understanding of design principles and best practices for building scalable applications.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, preferably Azure.
- Advanced experience with JIRA/Confluence, GITHUB, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and configuration management.
- Experience with SQL and noSQL databases.
- Experience with installing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining Docker/Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience in agile development methodology (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
