About the position
Infosys is seeking a Java Developer responsible for translating software requirements into maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks. The role involves applying technical proficiency throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, gathering requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize tasks. Attention to detail is crucial for identifying errors and making adjustments in a testing environment, while also adhering to best practices for scalable application development.
Responsibilities
- Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions.
- Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks.
- Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
- Develop and adhere to best practices for developing scalable applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
- Experience in full-stack development of enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SOAP, REST Webservices, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, or Postgres.
- Knowledge and experience with the full SDLC lifecycle.
- Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Back-End development of enterprise applications using J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Splunk, New Relic, Unix, Gitlab, Jenkins.
- Experience writing PL-SQL queries using either Oracle or Postgres.
- Experience working with ReactJS, Node.js, WebLogic.
